Purpose: To formulate, recommend and implement adopted policies and procedures for the promotion of The American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest among Posts, Districts, and Regions, utilizing the services of and coordinating with high schools across the state; and to supervise, coordinate and conduct these contests and the Departmental Finals.

Reporting: The Chairman of Oratorical Committee reports its actions and activities to the Department Executive Committee.
