$20,000 USAA Giveaway for a Legion Post

Mr. Chapman,

I work alongside Chris Figueroa (the USAA lead for The American Legion) and he asked me to reach out to The American Legion Department Adjutants about our $20,000 post give away. In an effort to show support for The American Legion at a local level, USAA will be giving out $20,000 for a Legion Post the week of Veteran’s Day 2017.  Both existing USAA members and non-USAA members can enter the sweepstakes at www.usaa.com/talgiveaway from July 22nd – October 31^st.   To enter the drawing, non-USAA members need to complete USAA eligibility by going to www.usaa.com/talgiveaway.  If you are already a USAA member, go to www.usaa.com/talgiveaway and login with your USAA username/password.  The drawing will be held in early November and the winner will be able to select a local post to give $20,000 towards post improvements.

What You Need to Do:

-The sweepstakes will be introduced at The American Legion National Convention.  We will have promotional “take-home” advertising toolkits for post leaders to promote the sweepstakes at their local posts.  Please stop by the USAA exhibit at National Convention to pick up your toolkits.   The early the better as we are only bringing 500 toolkits to the convention.   

-I would also suggest you post the attached banner ads on your webpages and/or your social media channels.  Perhaps use the ads on your e-newsletters or just promote the www.usaa.com/talgiveaway website in your emails.  The more entries the better your chances at winning the drawing.  To help us track local posts responses, please attach the following link https://www.usaa.com/inet/pages/affinity_tal_giveaway_landing_mkt?affid=010&adid=aff_tal_aff_mbrdrv_stateads_0817 to the attached banner ads.
