
Registration has started for the 2019 Virginia Legacy Run.
The Virginia In State Legacy Run (ISLR) will take place 18-20 July and is sponsored by the American Legion Department of Virginia as part of the National Legacy Scholarship Ride. It’s goal is to raise college scholarship money for the sons and daughters of service personnel nationwide either killed or over 50% disabled while on active duty since 9-11. All money raised will be donated in the name of the Department of Virginia to the National Scholarship Ride that takes place in August of each year.
The route will be a two day ride around the state of Virginia visiting numerous American Legion Posts. It will begin in Sandston VA and end up in Spotsylvania for a total of about 475 miles. An overnight stop in planned in Winchester.
Complete route details and Posts to be visited will be announced in the near future, but now is the time to start planning your participation. There will be lots of fun and comraderie for all, definitely an event that will be remembered fondly for many years to come.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Members must be legally registered motorcycle owners or be the legally registered owner’s spouse within the state of registration.
- All operators must be properly licensed and insured per state laws.
- All members must obey motor-vehicle laws in the state in which they are operating a motorcycle or riding as a passenger.
