With only one short week to go, the final maps, plans, and details have been released for the Virginia In State Legacy Run.

People will be at Post 75 in Gloucester starting at 1400 hrs (2:00 PM) on the 16th to hand out individual information packages and help any last minute registrations or address individual concerns.  There will be a donated catered dinner (rumor is it will be Mission BBQ) starting at 1800 hrs (6:00 PM) at the Post.  The main safety briefing will be at 1900 hrs (7:00 PM).

The Virginia In State Legacy Run (ISLR) will take place 16-18 July and is endorsed by the American Legion Department of Virginia as part of the National Legacy Scholarship Ride. It’s goal is to raise college scholarship money for the sons and daughters of service personnel nationwide either killed or over 50% disabled while on active duty since 9-11. All money raised will be donated in the name of the Department of Virginia Legion Riders to the National Scholarship Fund that takes place in August of each year.

The route will be a two day ride around the state of Virginia visiting numerous American Legion Posts. This year the route will start at Glouchester, VA and end at the Virginia Riders Rally in Strasburg, VA on Saturday.  Complete route details and Posts to be visited can be found below.
