Woodbridge, VA — Virginia State Delegate Michael Futrell has partnered with Women Veterans Interactive, Dumfries Councilman Derrick Wood, and Virginia State Delegate Rich Anderson to host the 2015 Spring Veterans Resource & Job Fair. This FREE fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 13020 Telegraph Road in Woodbridge.
The 2015 Spring Veterans Resource & Job Fair will provide veteran-related services in a one-stop setting. Onsite will be representatives from over fifty (50) companies and organizations to include the Department of Veterans Affairs to perform onsite benefit registration as well as provide information related to services such as the GI Bill education assistance, finding jobs, completing wills, preventing homelessness, and how to participate in programs like the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project.
As part of the 2015 Spring Veterans Resource & Job Fair there will also be representatives from companies who are hiring currently and/or in the near future. Other invited organizations will provide seminars for attendees on topics such as how to start a business, resume writing, and job searching.
Confirmed participants include Virginia Department of Veterans Services, Virginia Wounded Warrior Program, Wells Fargo, Keller Williams Realty, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Small Business Administration, and hiring representatives from area law enforcement agencies.
