Fellow Legionnaire Kenneth Franklin, Commander of Legion Post 14 in Pocahontas, Virginia is proud to celebrate a second important American Legion milestone. Naturally Commander Franklin is proud to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion this year. This is a double honor because when the American Legion turned 50 years old, Ken was serving as the Commander of Legion Post 58 in Gary, West Virginia.
Commander Franklin, a Navy Veteran, has been an active member of the American Legion for 63 years. In addition to membership in the American Legion, he is a very civic minded person who is involved in many other local organizations. He has earned all the accolades that have come his way for his community service.
