Message from the National Commander based on the Target Date Membership Report.

Commanders and Department Leadership,

 I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank you all for your efforts in obtaining the membership goal. We have positioned ourselves to achieve something special this year.  We can stop the membership slide and show the country we aren’t a dying organization. It will take an coordinated effort by all of us to achieve this feat,  but I know we can make this happen. It won’t happen by itself, so I urge you to contact your districts and counties and ask them to make calls now while members are sitting at home because of the weather. Remind them of the importance of belonging to our great organization and the need for a strong membership as we lobby for veterans benefits.

I look forward to greeting you on the National Convention stage in Charlotte and presenting to you with your well deserved 100% membership plaque.
