You are by now aware that Post 2001 Commander Charlie McKinney passed away on Tuesday (6 Sept) of complications from cancer.
Charlie made great personal efforts to create synergy for projects that enhanced all the Legion’s Pillars, but especially “Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation” and “Americanism”.
As his former 1st Vice-Commander, I would also like to invite you and members of your Posts to join me and members of Post 2001 on Tuesday, 13 Sep, in celebrating his life at a funeral Mass as detailed below in the message I today sent to our Post membership. The burial will be held on Wednesday, 14 Sep at Union Cemetery in Leesburg.
The funeral service for our late Commander, Comrade Charlie McKinney, will be on Tuesday, 13 September at 1100 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Herndon, VA.
