As a leader of one of the Commonwealth’s outstanding veterans services organizations, I ask for your assistance in spreading the word about our next pro bono veterans legal clinic on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Virginia Western Community College’s Brown Library, 3095 Colonial Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24015.
At these clinics, qualified Virginia veterans and their spouses can receive legal wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives prepared at no cost by volunteer lawyers from my office.
The flyer below and attached contains information about the clinics and a link to our website where veterans can fill out an application. I’ve also attached a copy of the application to this email, and these applications may be picked up at any Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) Benefits Field Office. Participants must fill out an application in advance of the clinic, and unfortunately walk-ups cannot be accepted.
If you or your members have any questions about the program, please contact Senior Assistant Attorney General Heather Lockerman by phone at (804) 786-0067 or email at hlockerman@oag.state.va.us.
Thank you so much for your service, your leadership, and for helping us spread the word about this important opportunity for Virginia veterans.
Respectfully,
Mark
