Clifton Forge July Event Flyer
Veterans,
I was contacted by Nathan Julius, Veteran Outreach Coordinator, Salem VA Medical Center, 540-982-2463 Ext. 4639, concerning the event outlined in the attachment. Additionally from Nathan:
– Salem VA Medical Center staff will be on-site to answer questions concerning VA healthcare and to enroll any Veterans who are not already receiving VA healthcare. If interested, please advise them to bring their DD-214, if they have it.
– Roanoke Regional Office and Virginia Department of Veterans Services staff will also be on-site to help with claims and benefits questions, and I am hoping to have one of our Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists there as well.
This is a trial run for possible future events based on attendance and interest. We have folks in our Posts / community that can benefit from one-on-one interaction with the VA and its representatives. Let’s spread the word and plan to attend – this has potential to improve the situation.
