Honored Veteran,

From all of us at Shenandoah University, we would like to kindly thank you for your service to our country. We appreciate your commitment, dedication, and hard work over the years and would like to personally invite you to share your story.

For the first time, we are hosting the Shenandoah University Writing Project, a workshop designed specifically to give veterans from the University, our Alumni community, and the Winchester area a chance to put down into words their unique experiences and perspective on their life in service. Jerri Bell, with his own military experience and writing expertise, will lead this unique two-day event.

The event will take place:

Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th

9:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Health Professions Building

1775 North Sector Court

Winchester, VA 22601

(Located behind Winchester Medical Center)

We sincerely hope you will be able to attend and join with others who have also decided to share their stories in this trusting and respectful environment. This workshop is absolutely free and will include lunch both days provided by the University.

If you are interested in attending, please read the enclosed information and RSVP to Lander Manuel at the Center for Public Service and Scholarship by November 5th. Please call (540) 678-4385 or email at lmanuel@su.edu. Space is limited to 25 persons.
